Bienestar is the Spanish word for well-being and we feel it's the best possible description of our mission: Assisting you in a journey to create a lifestyle of well-being. We offer a variety of modalities to connect the mind, body and spirit, including yoga, meditation, and wellness services including a variety of massage services, energy work and professional coaching and therapy.
We believe in laughter, opening the heart, eliminating boundaries, finding out what we believe in, encouragement, learning from our mistakes, and just going for it. Live this moment fully, with courage and grace. In yoga we can slowly and carefully teach you the basics of yoga, starting you on a path of self-discovery, introduce you to higher levels of practice or motivate your current practice.
Be nurtured by nature.
Bienestar is a Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour and Continuing Education Provider offering professional training programs for yoga teachers. Workshops are offered on creative energies, play, relaxation and all things that bring joy into our lives.
We also provide individual sessions and public classes for those looking to expand their private yoga practice on their own terms.
Located in breathtaking Uvita, Costa Rica, all of our classes are performed on a wooden yoga platform shaded by large trees, surrounded by nature. We are bordered by the Uvita River and we can hear it rush by after a sweet rain. The garden is filled with the color and scent of tropical flowers in bloom and enjoy the gentle and constant breeze while we practice yoga and meditation, mindfulness and serenity, and at times, crazy joy and a lot of laughter.

Special Health Insurance required
Traveling to Costa Rica currently means following these government rules -
Tourists must have remained in an authorized country for at least 14 days before traveling to Costa Rica.
The government requires all visitors to buy travel insurance from one of two local agencies , This can be either a pre-approved Costa Rican policy from INS or Sagicor, or an international policy that covers COVID-19 medical expenses of at least $50,000 and $2,000 for lodging to cover accommodation and medical expenses if the traveler contracts the coronavirus (the cost depends on age and length of stay, but a 45-year-old staying two weeks will pay roughly $10 a day). Travelers with international insurance policies must provide certification from the insurer, uploaded to the Health Pass, that the policy is effective in Costa Rica, and covers medical and lodging expenses related to the virus, for a total of about $50,000.
