Travel - Shuttle Pickups
Fly in and out of San Jose International Airport - SJO
​
Plan to allow at least 1 hour to clear immigration, collect your luggage and then get through customs.
You will meet the shuttle outside to your right in the shuttle pickup area.
Your private group shuttle Airport to Uvita leaves the airport for Uvita at, 1 p.m. Saturday
​
Your Return transportation to San Jose leaves Uvita, Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
Plan on the trip taking 4 hours, and then 2 hours for check-in so departing no earlier then 4 p.m., we can
arrange for the shuttle to take you to a hotel in Alajuela if necessary.

February - Arrive Saturday the 10th, shuttle to Uvita at 1 p.m.
Depart Saturday the 17th, depart Uvita at 10 a.m.
March - Arrive Saturday the 16th, shuttle to Uvita at 1 p.m. Depart Saturday the 23rd, depart Uvita at 10 a.m.
April - Arrive Saturday the 6th, shuttle to Uvita at 1 p.m. Depart Saturday the 13th, depart Uvita at 10 a.m.

ABOUT UVITA
​
Uvita is casual, it's a jungle beach town. The population is a mix of Surfer Hippies, Digital Nomads, Adventurous Retirees, Business Moguls owning their third or fourth home and Spiritual seekers on a variety of paths. Its a place where almost anything goes.. It's a boomtown and place where the jungle meets the sea. We will let go and just simple be for a week, with the opportunity to do as you please, no demands, no expectations, if you need rest take it (our lives are exhausting), if your ready for a hike we have one most days, if you want to practice yoga we have private group class every morning, if you want more yoga you can join the public session in the evening. If you want lay in a hammock and read go ahead, we'll watch sunsets and drink cool white wine or fresh juices, you'll choose your own diet for the week... pescatarian, vegetarian or vegan and all meals will be freshly made by our exception chef.

So be casual, be comfortable. No need to ever dress up - unless you want to... or wear makeup because it melts and your hair frizzes. A place where you're allowed to say mañana or have a nice long lunch and a two hour nap in the afternoon. You can safely sit outside and look at the Milky Way in the middle of the night, but don't t take valuables to the beach.
So pack your reading material.. we don't have a book store, bring your journal.. we will provide everything for our arts and crafts. You'll want swimsuits, cool hike clothes, and good walking shoes for the waterfall hikes, maybe a small backpack and a water bottle. No towels or sarongs needed we have them here.

I have wifi so a SIM card or international plan is not really necessary, but a cheap SIM card is available here in Uvita
( Kolbi recommended.)

It's important to bring medications and favorite sunscreen, skin care, mosquito repellent and other products, as here as we do not have the choices you have at home.

Booking - Deposit & Payment
We start with a message - you contact Bienestar and we'll set up a conversation to answer your questions. Then if you are interested we send your the details and send you a questionnaire about your dietary needs and/or desires. Your reservation
is not secure until I have your deposit. The deposit is $400. USD. This deposit is non-refundable at 30 days before the program start date.
Your complete payment balance based is on your room choice is due 30 days before your arrive.
Wait listed parties will be notified of availability 28 days before the program start date.

Your reservation is officially confirmed. when we receive your payment. We ask that you confirm by sending a screen shot or
a photo of your deposit slip.

All inclusive
Private room with a full size bed - 2 available - $1499.
Private room with a single bed - 3 available - $1259.
Shared room - 2 single beds - 2 beds available - $1099. per person

International Payment can be made a variety of ways - we will send you account information

Then it's time to make your travel plans (we have airport hotel recommendations if you need them). Send us your travel information and we'll send you the details on the shuttle pick up.

What's Provided
Transportation to and From San Jose International airport- SJO. ( be careful there is an additional airport in Costa Rica)
Private room with shared baths and showers for 7 nights- sheets, towels, linens provided.
Beverages and Meals at Bienestar for 7 dinners, 7 breakfasts, 6 lunches -
Transportation to group organized programs and all fees for scheduled tours.
Tour guides for local hikes, any yoga or movement program here on site during your stay.
*Substitutions - You may opt out of participation in whale watching or horseback riding and exchange that one experience
for a private 1 hour massage.

You can opt out of any meals and visits local restaurants if you choose at your own expense.
TRAVEL & HEALTH INSURANCE
Is highly recommended.. I can not offer refunds due to cancelation due to last minute or local health and travel issues. There
are volcanoes through out Central American and just the ash in the air can cancel or ground flights. (I was unexpectedly stuck
in Mexico City in May.) That is an act of God, so No Airline has to assist you with food, hotel or additional travel expenses.
You will participate here in classes, hikes and workshops at your own risk and you must employ your own judgment as to which movements, positions, exercises and excursions are appropriate for your level of training, overall physical fitness and experience as well as mental stability.
Of course nobody books a retreat with the intention of cancelling it, but unexpected events do occur, so travel insurance that cover cancellations, including COVID and any other illness related cancellations.

COVID POLICY
Regrettably, COVID is still with us, as well its many variations. As the virus is still contagious and very present, and we take the health of our guests and team very seriously, we ask everyone to be as mindful as possible in the days leading up to the
retreat to ensure a healthy, safe space for everyone. If we deem the number of incidents around the time our retreat is held
to be alarming, we have the right to ask guests to perform a self-test before entering the retreat area.
IN CASE I CANCEL A Retreat
We need a minimum of 3 clients to run this retreat. If less the 3 people enroll your deposit will be returned to you 30 days before the start date.
If I can not host a retreat and must cancel, You will be notify you as soon as possible and you will receive a 100% refund. However Bienestar is not accountable for your expenses incurred in preparation for the retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, visas fees and/or other costs associated with preparation for your trip. (I have not canceled a program in 10 years.)
RIGHTS of Bienestar
I reserve the right to remove a participant from the retreat if their behaviour is disruptive, no refunds given.
I reserve the right to keep a guest liable if she brings damage to the house, nature or belongings.
I reserve the right the to change the program, teachers or team members at all times.
