Yoga is inherently a wellness practice. In yoga, we find that by practicing the right yoga for each different phase of an individual's life we can maintain a healthy body and mind. These classes in Wellness were designed to create a deeper knowledge of everyday yoga practices you can use to connect with your clients through normally occurring different stages of life that they may be dealing with.
The practice of Yoga will make you more aware of your own body—more conscious of its strengths, weaknesses and needs. We emphasize ways to honor our innate physiology by practicing intelligently and with intention.
The Wisdom years allow for women's greatest freedom and often our greatest creativity and contributions to the world. We will look at yoga practices beneficial to the aging body, focusing on strength and balance, mental clarity, and our spirit with purpose and path.
Common concerns aging including, diseases and disabilities that accompany aging and we will look at the practices of yoga that can keep us aging gracefully. We will learn about issues that arise in aging body and beneficial practices of many of them. Regularly using the practices of yoga we come aware of our own bodies, more conscious of it's strength, weaknesses and needs. We will focus on practices that will strengthen and balance both physical and mental clarity.
The Wisdom years can bring us onto our own power through the experiences lived and observed over our lifetimes, offering us our greatest, creativity, power, confidence and freedom.
Course Objectives - an understanding and ability to explain,
To know some of the most common affects offing that asana, regular movement can lessen or provide ease from.
Adapting practices as needed to accommodate changes, (sometimes we need less, some times we need target, sometime we need different) Strength, Flexibility, Agility, Balance, Cardiovascular and Nervous System

The cost of the program with accommodations, breakfast, lunch & dinner starts at $850. USD payable in dollars or colones. The class price cane adjusted with students with local accommodations.
shared room - 2 single beds - $850. per person
monks rooms (single bed) - $1099. per person
Private room (full size bed) - $1199. per person
Class begins at 7:30 daily and ends at aprox. 4:00. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided.
Additionally we can provide information on, SJO Accommodations and Airport Transport to and from San Jose International Airport - Airport (SJO) for $75. each way on a shuttle, $95.00 flight to Quepos and bus information $20.00 from downtown San Jose.
We can provide you with a list of hostels, hotels & AirB&Bs near the airport .
Additional nights stay may be available before & after the program, please ask in advance of arrival.
All classroom materials are here in the studio, mats, blocks, bolsters and pillows.
Payment: a 25% deposit is due with registration, with maybe paid via PayPal or Bank Deposit. Balance of payment is due by bank deposit, cash or credit/debit card payment on arrival. Other payment arrangements maybe possible if made in advance.
